Controls alignment in print preview

I have a column of check boxes with labels. Some labels I have placed in text
boxes so I can use conditional formatting on them.

When I view the form in print preview three of the eight labels in text
boxes are moved down a line...as if a carriage return has been entered, yet
the control stays where it belongs.

I've spent quite some time on this and have exhausted everything I can think
of...margins, padding, text box size, carriage returns, table width, various
heights, etc.

Any ideas?

Is there a way to see the formatting...like the paragraph return symbol in
MS Word?

Thanks for the response. I'm not sure I would know what to do here.

I have a two column table that contains these check boxes and their labels.
There is no space between the check box and the text box containing the
label. Also the text box only takes up about half the space between the check
box and the edge of the column. there are no spaces after the text box.

If I place the cursor in front of the text box and press enter it moves the
label down to the next line. When I look at this in print preview it is the
same. I would have expected to see a blank line between the line with the
check box and the line with the text box.

Let me try to demonstrate:

What it should look like

BOX LABEL

What I get in print preview

BOX
LABEL

If I add a line to what it should look like

BOX
LABEL

I still get

BOX
LABEL
