Dear all
I have a problem (using Outlook 2003, SP2) which is probably related to the
same issue that napofrog's discusses in his post "conversation grouping of
emails by reference instead of by subject". I want to group my messages in
threads, but Outlook seems to be considering the subject line only when
performing this grouping. This is normally not a problem, since the program
ignores the "Re: " and "Fw: " prefixes in subject lines of replies, etc.
The problem is that Outlook seems not to recognize other prefixes than these
two. I receive e-mails from people using international e-mail clients, where
the reply may have subjectes starting with e.g. "Réf. : ", "Ha: ", but these
are not grouped together with my original message.
I would like my view to look like this (example):
me recipient original subject
recipient me Re: original subject
me another Fw: original subject
another me Réf. : Fw: original subject
me third guy Fw: new subject line
So; is there a way to make Outlook:
1) recognize other prefixes than "Re: " and "Fw: " (or are these hardcoded)?
2) group the last post in the example above together with the others, even
if I've changed the subject (assuming I used the Forward or Reply function)
Thanks
