Conversion 2000 - 2003

Hi

I recently (stupidly) converted a 2000 secured db to 2003 without taking a
backup. Don't really know how I managed to lose the backup but cannot find
it anywhere.

My login and password no longer work.

A lot of work has gone into this.

How can I either

1. Get into the db
2. Convert it back without having to open it
3. Do anything ANYTHING to get all that work back.

By the way I think I have found the original report that was generated when
I created the secured db. It has the admin login password adn WorkgroupID
etc. Willl this save me?

I didn't think there were any problems with this: the database file should be
reading its security from the old .mdw file as before and I don't think there
are any major disadvantages to leaving the .mdw in the old format (please
someone correct me if I'm wrong on this...). If it has lost the link, go to
Tools, Security, Workgroup Administrator and re-join the old security file
(definitely the quickest solution). Alternatively, from here recreate your
security file with the details you've (fortunately!) made a note of - it'll
be laborious if there's a lot of different users/groups/permissions.

Sorted now. I had a corrupted mdw file. Got hold of the live copy of that
file and all was hunky dory.
