Hello,

My company will be converting from excel 2003 to excel 2007.

My spreadsheets have a lot of macros in them that does the following:
1. Scheduled times to run the macro. For example, the scheduler runs
them at 6:30 am M-F
2. Macros that have open Internet Explorer and extracts data and puts
the extracted data in several spreadsheets.

My concern is how I convert my macros to xl 2007. Is there a website
that I can go wherein the "gotchas" or issues that have been
identified reagarding macro conversions or the problem areas to watch
out for in conversion.

I've been googling and have not have found a central FAQ for this
issue.

Thank you for you input.

I'm not sure that you'll find a website that has all the gotchas (or any of the
gotchas).

If I were you, I'd ask to get xl2007 installed on your pc so that you can do
some vigorous testing of your existing macros.

You may find that you don't need to tweak anything.

On the other hand, if you're creating your own toolbar or modifying the menubar,
you'll either have to learn about the ribbon--or accept that your modifications
will be under the Addins Group on that ribbon.

If you want to learn about modifying the ribbon, you can start at Ron de Bruin's
site:
http://www.rondebruin.nl/ribbon.htm
http://www.rondebruin.nl/qat.htm -- For macros for all workbooks (saved as an
addin)
or
http://www.rondebruin.nl/2007addin.htm

Hi Marty,

As to a website, I don't know. However, I think you should take the tried
and true method and test each macro. Problems are so situation specific and
you situation may or may not be one anyone else has tested.
