Conversion from Access97 to 2000

Hi

I've been running a fairly complex Access97 database on
Win2000 and have now converted it to Access2000 running on
WinXP.
I have two problems.

1. - It's very slow to open forms and refresh them when
switching from one to another.
2. Although it has compiled OK, there are still many bits
of the code that don't work and I have to search for them
all. Really basic stuff like saving a record.

The database runs with the back end on the server, but for
testing purposes I'm running it from the same PC.
