Conversion from Netscape

I am trying to convert messages & addresses from Netscape
6 to Outlook 2000. MS kb article 296691 says import
Netscape 6 addresses into an older version of Netscape (I
have version 4.8), then export in .ldif format (kb
article Q242008), then import into Outlook Express then
into Outlook.
All seems to work except the first step: importing
from Netscape 6 into 4.8. Address books in ver 6 are
in .mab format and ver 4.8 is looking for .nab format.
Any help?
