Conversion from PC to MAC

N

Noah

I'm having a problem when I open a PC made Word file on my MAC. When it
opens and I use the "Page View" there is a grid of lines in the background of
the document. These lines cover the writeable area of the document. When
I create a new document myself and use the same view, there are no lines.
They are quite anoying and I have searched all throughout the options and
have not found a way to eliminate them.

Any sugestions?

Thank you.

Hi Noah,

Open the Drawing Toolbar (View> Toolbars> Drawing) and click on the Draw
icon that's at the very top. On the popup menu, go to the bottom and click
on Grid. In the Grid dialog box, uncheck the option to "Display gridlines
on screen." Apparently, whoever sent you the document had that option
turned on.
