Conversion from PDF to Office...ie. Word

T

Travis McGee

Wondering if anybody knows a reliable way of converting looooong PDF
documents to office Word format.

I am aware of the fact that there are tons of third party products out
there......
they all give you a free download with limited capability - converts only
1-2 pages ....
and then you pay them the money for the full version, but almost all of them
fail to work with long/big .pdf file.

Does Microsoft (or Office) has a reliable tool that can deal with large .pdf
files.

Thanks

No, you need third party software. Why don't you try breaking it down to
smaller files? Pages 1 thru 25, 26 thru 50, etc. You're still going to have
to buy software tho.

How do you break it apart.....?

Example: Have one big file.....and no commercial adobe products.

We are not creating the .pdf docs.
They are already created by vendors, just like you download a large .pdf
from the web.
I have to get information out of them programatically with code.

Also, are you sure Microsoft does not have anything for this?

3rd party products: they promise the world and you "buy" the thing.....and
it is nothing but garbage.

PrimoPDF. Free although it may be a couple of buck for commercial use. It
delivers.

Tell it to print pages 1 thru 25, then 26 thru....

Try Edit, Copy File to Clipboard. This should work if the document contains
text. If it is based on a scanned document it probably won't. Then you
might be able to use an OCR program.
