Conversion - not the typical questions asked here daily

I have several hundred files created in Microsoft Publisher 2000 that I need
to get into Microsoft Word format. The Publisher files contain a header and
a 5-10 column and 10-20 row table with each cell containing text. They
probably shouldn't have been done in Publisher originally as they are really
only a table.

Is there any type of bulk conversion tool available to get them into MS Word
or Excel?? If I have no other choice, I suppose I could bulk convert from
Publisher to PDF and then find a bulk PDF to Word converter too??

I can tell you that anytime you switch formats, you risk losing something.
Now add the quantity of the work you're doing, having it done "bulk", and
switching thru two formats?<shiver!!> I have a .pdf to .doc and the results
are iffy at best. Seems to work best on plain text.

I've never heard of anything that can do this. Sorry.

Thanks for the feedback, I am ok losing somethings because even if I open in
Publisher and do the SAVE AS a MS Word doc I will probably lose similar
stuff. I was just hoping for something to do it in bulk instead. I suppose I
might be able to write a macro or script to launch Publisher, open the file,
perform the save as, then close and move on but didn't want to spend so much
time on it. Thanks for the feedback though!
