Conversion of Office 2007 BETA to full version

Hi *,
1)I am currently using office 2007 Beta software.
I now have the keys for Office 2007 professional.
Is there a way to upgrade the beta version to a complete version?

2) If i download a trial version of office professional 2007 from MS,
then is it possible to provide this Key and convert it to a full
version?

Cheers

Hi Mahadev,

To install the release/trial editions of MS Office 2007 all of the beta related items need to be removed first. If you are using
Beta 2, rather than Beta2 with the Technical Refresh Update (B2TR) you may want to be sure that you have key documents resaved in
classic (.doc, .xls) format as some of the Beta2 file format versions aren't supported in the final product.

For uninstalling the Office 2007 beta products review the information in this article regarding items you may not recall as being
part of the beta software installed on your PC
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927222/en-us?FR=1

If you then have an issue installing the Office 2007 trial or retail product the steps in this article may be helpful to you
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218/en-us?FR=1

If you have a MS Office 2007 retail product key then that key can be used in place of the 60 day trial key to install and then
activate the licensed product, although you won't have a MS provided product CD in that scenario.

Bob:

I went to the link and did what I could and am still having trouble getting
rid of the beta. Should I remove all reference to Office 12 in the regedit
window (ie Reg_sz and Reg_multi_sz files). I need help and am thankful for
knowledgable folks as you.
When I go to install it says the beta needs to be removed even though I
removed it using Add/Remove programs.

Thanks
Patricia
