Conversion Problem

We are trying to convert a document originally made in Word Perfect for pc
that was remade in word 2002 and sent to a Mac using Word 2001. The symbols
in the original document were made with wp typographic symbol. When the
word 2002 document is opened on the Mac, the symbols don't appear as the
should. I have been unable to find that font for Mac. Any ideas? Thanks.

It looks OK on Word 2002 on PC? Mac Word 2001 and V.x at the moment is
rather poor at displaying every character on earth. Real soon now Word
2004 is supposed to arrive with a far greater repertoire of Unicode
glyphs.

In the meantime, depending on what the missing symbols are, you may be
able to fashion something similar from what is available and a little
ingenuity.

Can you copy each broken symbol, paste it into the find box? and find
it? If so, you may be on the way to fixing your doc.

Post back with more detail of the symbols you want to restore
If so, then a

Not what you asked, but installing WP on the Mac *might* give you a
comparable font, or let you work with the doc in OS 9/Classic. You can get
it for free at:

http://acmfiles.csusb.edu/corel/wpmac.html
OR
ftp://ftp.r8ix.com/WP-L_Stuff/ (which may have more enhancements than the
first link)
