convert a .pps to a.ppt

I took an existing powerpoint presentation i had and made dozens and dozens
of changes to it (about 7 hours worth....) by accident, I failed to save that
presentation as a .ppt filetype prior to saving it as a .pps filetype. Now I
have a powerpoint show (the .pps) that has all the changes I made, but the
..ppt file I'm left with is the original I had prior to all the changes I
made. Is there anyway to somehow convert the .pps back to a .ppt so i can
make more changes to it without starting from scratch again???

Method 1 Rename from something.pps > something.ppt
Method 2. Start PowerPoint File >Open the pps will open in edit mode
Method 3 right click > choose NEW

Thanks so much for the answer(s). Feel good in that you saved me 5-6 hours
in my life.... I'll make sure to put that time to good use... like on the
golf course.
