Convert a Works Doc recv'd by email to a Word Document?

My daugher has Works, I have Word. Her printer won't work so she emailed the
doc to me. I can't open it! I've been trying ALL night!

Please help if you can. Thanks so much!!

Oh, I did download Microsoft Works 6–9 File Converter, still doesn't work.
I get an error that says "the file does not have a program associated with it
for performing this action. Create an association in the Folders Options
Control Panel

Is there a step I'm missing? So frustrating! Of course the paper is due
tomorrow!!!

What version of Word do you have and what version of Words does your
daughter have? Have you tried opening the Works file directly from Word?
