Convert ACT 6.0 to Outlook Contacts

How do I convert ACT 6.0 contacts to Outlook? I've tried converting to Excel,
converting directly, saving the ACT file in an earlier version and I have
been unsuccessful converting the database with 310 contacts. Can anyone
provide step by step conversion instructions for a new Outlook user and
computer idiot?
