Foster,

I am not sure what you mean by the Vista version of Access BUT if you are
looking for the ribbon it is available in Access 2007. Perhaps you saved it
in the default dtabase version of Access 2002- 2003?

When I closed the data base I said save as 2007 without thinking. I should
have just closed it period. When I re-opend the next day I wanted to make it
read only but the instructions says:eek:n the Review tab, click Protect
Document, etc. This is not showing on the ribbon. Neither does it show the
lock symbol and other information. Word still shows all of the regular
ribbon. I don't understand what happend. I have thought about restoring the
system to a date prior to when I closed it as 2007 but don't know if that
would work or not. I do have it saved to an external and to a lap top but
both are in the format I don't want.

Okay, so you want it in 2002-2003 format. Just save it back to that format.

However, I am getting confused because the ribbon is in 2007, all other
versions had the toolbar. I also don't understand what instructions you are
reading? I also can't find this Review tab in Access 2007 and Protect
Document applies to Word not Access.

mrwf,

Okay, I just opened my Word 2007 and the Review tab in Protect Document are
in there not Access. So now the question becomes what are you really
asking? You should also note, those features do NOT transfer over to Access
so if that is what you are looking for then stop because they are not in
there.
