Convert doc to pdf using automation?

I use automation to create Word documents and email them. Now I want to give
the sender a choice of emailing .DOC or .PDF files. Any ideas as to how I can
convert docs to pdf using automation.

Hmm.. perhaps Adobe has a program I can run.

Hi, Tom.

They is no way to do it using Word alone.
But they are many free tools on the market which provides this functionality.
Must of them are installed as printer and you need to configure a location
for the PDF files. But it means also, that you need to switch the default
printer to the PDF printer.
But you can found also many libraries, which are usually not free of charge
and can convert the RTF or DOC files to PDF. We makes some researches for our
product and found one, which delivere good results and is easy to integrate.
This was CIBformat from CIBSoftware. Look at www.cib.de for this. But I'm
sure they are much similar products available.
