I have an excel document that was created in MS Word 2007. When I double
click on the document to open it, instead of opening up, the "Picture Tools"
tab is selected. Is there away to unselect the "Picture Tools" tab and to
open my document?

Thank you,

How can you create an Excel document in Word 2007. Excel does Excel, Word
does Word. Would you explain more clearly what you have done and what it the
problem. Thanks.

Hi Terry,

It's quite possible to create an Excel worksheet within a Word 2007 document, via Insert|Table|Excel spreadsheet.

No denying that is so! But this sounds more to me that the Excel SS was
copied and then pasted into Word as a graphic object which is why it is
opening up the Picture Toolbar rather than launching Excel.

Hi Terry,

Possibly, but sometimes things go awry with embedded Excel objects and Word starts treating them as images. Sometimes, restarting
Windows or repairing Office fixes things.
