C
City of Confusion
Hello,
I've been asked to convert some legacy Access 1997 databases to the Access
2002 format. I am, admittedly, not an access user myself and am not very
familiar with the tools. I downloaded some conversion information written by
Allen Browne to assist me here:
http://members.iinet.net.au/~allenbrowne/ser-48.html
Now, the problem(s):
My chief problem is that tables are not being brought over into the newly
converted files. Access informs about the conversion error table and I can
access that. It informs me that MS Access was unable to refresh the linked
tables. It then tells me to look at the Linked Table Manager.
I access the Linked Table Manager and it produces a list of about 8 tables
that are not linking. It also provides me the name and previous location
where those tables can be found (lets say h:/speed.mdb). I select the links
and locate the file in order to add the table, but when i click them i get
the following error: "The Microsoft Jet Database Engine cannot find the input
table or query "table_name". Make sure it exists and the name is spelled
correctly."
I really dont know what else to do at this point and my SearchFu has been
unable to find a suitable answer as of yet. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
