Convert Gantt to PERT

I am about to develop a project plan, and will likely make the first pass a
Gantt Chart. Later, if I decide that I would rather have it in PERT format,
will Visio do the "translation", or must I start all over?

AFAIK, visio does not do that type of conversion. It might be better to
start with a tool that does project management reporting for a living.
