convert "one" folder in personal folders from OL2003 to OL2000

I'm trying to export only one folder that's within my Personal Folders. It
seems that I must convert my whole Personal Folders from OL2003 to OL2000 and
save it as a .pst, but I still can't pick and choose just one folder. I have
OL2003 and my associate has OL2000, and I'm trying to send "one folder" of
emails to her via snail mail on a flash drive.
Any suggestions would be appreciated as I'm no Guru....that's for sure.

Create a new pst file that is compatible with Outlook 2000. Then copy the
folder/messages from your current pst file to the new one. Close Outlook and
copy the newly created pst to your flash drive.

If there aren't too many messages, you could also just save the messages as
files. Then you could copy the files to your flash drive...or even e-mail
them (Zipped into a single file) if they are not too large in total size.

I'm not sure I'm getting this, but you're saying that I need to create a
..pst file of "all my Personal folders" that is compatible w/ OL2000, open it
up in my OL2003 and then create a .pst of just the one folder and copy it to
my flash drive?

I may be mistaken, but I think that I tried this and when I opened it up in
my OL2003, all that showed were search folders and something else...?....will
try again and get back with the result.

If I'm able to convert all my OL2003 personal folders to the OL2000 format
and copy just "the one" folder to my flash drive, do you think I can first go
in and delete the newly created OL2000 compatible .pst file, to later open up
just "the one" folder .pst file (from the flash drive), so as to check my
work and be sure that I'm sending only "the one" folder and not any other
sensitive info, etc.?

I'm really worried about including anything other than just the one folder
and this particular folder contains maybe a couple hundred emails......too
big to zip and email.

That's not what he said.

Click File>New>Outlook Data File. Select "Outlook 97-2002 Personal Folders
File (.pst)" and click OK. Browse to the Windows folder where you're like
to store it (or accept the default), give it a file name (or accept the
default), and click OK. Give it a display name (or accept the default - but
I'd name it something else) and click OK. The PST will now appear in the
Navigation Pane's folder list view. Select the folder in your original set
of folders that you want transferred and click Edit>Copy to Folder. Specify
the root of the new PST as the destination and click OK. When the copy
completes, right-click the new PST's root, choose cClose, then close
Outlook. You can now use Windows Exporer to browse to the PST you created
and transfer it any way you like to the other PC, whether it be by burning
it on a CD, using a flash drive, or what-have-you. On the destination PC,
start Outlook and click FIle>Open>Personal Folders File. Browse to the PST
you transferred, select it, and click OK. You'll now have access to the
folder you copied to it.

By default you get a "Search Folders" and a "Deleted Items" folder.

No, you didn't quite understand what I was getting at...

When you create a new "Outlook 2000 compatible" pst file in Outlook 2003,
that pst file is initially empty. You then have the "power" to copy any
messages you want to that empty pst. So if you want your associate to get
just that one folder, then copy just that one folder into the new pst. As
long as you are careful to send the correct pst file to your associate, you
should be fine.
