Convert ppt into pptx using file explorer?

I use office 2007 and Windows XP Tablet PC Edition. As a student, I have
downloaded many powerpoint 2003 (.ppt) shows for class and I would like to
convert them to powerpoint 2007 (.pptx) file format. Rather than opening
each file individually and converting it, is their a way to convert a pp03
file to pp07(pptx) file format in file explorer? No options of this sort are
in the right click menu. This would save me a great deal of time and
increase my understanding of the file formats.

You can't do that but you could write a macro to open the ppt's one by one
and resave them as pptx's.

To save you could use something like
opres.SaveAs (opres.Name & ".pptx")
