Convert Text to Number

I would like to convert my Text into Number

Example : Myfield has text: Two Thousand Five Hundred Sixty Five and Eighty
Nine Fils
I want programitacally to be converted into Number : 2565.89


Please advice.

Have you checked at mvps.org/access or in an on-line search?

I seem to recall conversion routines that go the other direction (#### to
text)...

Actually in my case, i have received a mdb in which one table has a field
containing only the text (may be it was converted from number to text
earlier). As I can note that it is realted to currency, then If i will be
able to get the code to convert the Text into Number. It is hudge data, and
it is very difficult to read the text one by one and write the equivalent
number for that.

It will be very kind, if I can get the code to convert the text to number.
