When I use 'convert text to table' I am unable to enter anything in the 'other' box of the 'separate text at' feature. Is this a bug or is there something I'm missing?

Hi Gee -

AFAIK there is no bug & it seems to function as expected here.

In order to go any further, though, you'll need to provide a thorough
description of the text you have selected, the source of that content &
anything else that may be relevant to the situation.

You might also experiment by using a new blank document, typing a few lines
of 3-4 words each separating one word from the next on each line by pressing
tab & pressing return at the end of each line. Select the several lines of
text & see if you have the same problem. Your result will help narrow down
the possibilities.

It needs to be one single character that exists within the selected text :)

Nah - you should be able to put any character you wish in there. If it
doesn't exist in the text you just wind up with a single column :)

Thanks for the replies. I tried the same process with a new blank document and it works as advertised, so it must just have been having a bad day with that particular table. Still weird though.
