convert $ to £ sign?

Hi all,
I downloaded a budget spreadsheet form the MS site but all the values,
totals and formulae are in $ not £’s there an easy way to convert them. Some
of the total cells are locked too. I would have thought it would have
responded to my regional settings?

Try to change the format of cells:
1) select your cells;
2) go to menu Format => cells => numbers;
3) choose the Currency option and then coose the format you prefer.

This should work if the $ symbol is not inside the cells, but just in the
format.
