Convert to PDF

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: intel

I have been trying to convert both word documents and excel documents to Adobe PDF's. I have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Professional but I get an error message saying that " PDF Maker encountered an error while printing the PDF. Please Retry. " Of course I retry but it still says the same thing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Try printing to PDF WITHOUT using PDF Maker.

PDF Maker on the Mac is useless anyway. But it uses the Adobe printer
driver instead of the Mac OS one. Try using File>Print and choose Print to
PDF.

Chances are, it's Adobe's code that's falling over. PDF Maker is not one of
the world's GREAT examples of software design :)

This move bypasses it. Then we will find out whether that file will go into
PDF at all. If it does, it will go into level 1 PDF. That may be
sufficient for your job. If not, you can then use Acrobat to convert it.

It may also produce one job per section. If it does, you can use Acrobat to
stitch the parts together later.

Hope this helps
