Convert Visio drawings in Word to pdf

Hi. Has anyone experienced this and know a work around?
I have some Visio drawings in Word and I need to convert the Word document
to pdf. When I convert some lines from the Visio drawings are missing.

Is there a work around to retain the Visio drawings?

If you own Adobe Acrobat (not Reader) you can generate PDFs directly from
most Microsoft applications, including Visio. If the installation of Acrobat
does not install an icon in your Microsoft menus, then you will at least have
access to an Adobe Acrobat Print Driver, which is selectable any time you
print.

If that does not retain your Visio drawings, try copying and pasting the
graphic into Visio itself, and then generating the graphics from Visio.
