Convert Word95 Macro?

Jerry

How do I convert a Word95 macro to one that works in Word
2000? I really don't know exactly how it works so
recording a new one is out of the question.
I would really appreciate any help.
Thanks,

Jerry

Hi Jerry,

You haven't given us much to go on here.

If the macro is of any size, some rewriting is undoubtedly going to be
needed. Therefore, you have two choices.

1. Learn how it works and what it is trying to do, so that you can rewrite
it yourself.

2. Pay somebody to do the job for you.

If it is extremely simple, then the conversion can be done simply by opening
a copy of the Word 95 template and then saving it again in Word 2K. Then you
test it to see if it still works the same. If it doesn't, then you start
getting into the rewriting stuff...

Here are a couple of MSDN sties worth reading:

Appendix VBA equivalents to Wordbasic commands:

A couple of sites containing general information regarding Wordbasic/VBA
migration issues:

Thanks for the help. I tried to open the template in
word2k and saving, but it didn't work.
I am going to look at the resources Perry mentioned, so I
can try to rewrite the macro.
Thanks,
Jerry
