Converted all files to Word

I inadvertently had all of my messages in my Outlook
Express open with the Word program, and now when I open a
message, all I get is garbage. I remember trying to open
a document and getting the dialogue box asking me what
program I want to open it with..not thinking, I chose
Word, not I can't get anything in English...just the boxes
and garbled letters appear. Any way I can re-convert them
to their original form?
