I need to convert a databse created in access 95 into
access 2002. When I try to do this I get the error
message "There is no field named 'BaseRowLineage' in
table 'MSysTombstone'.Which means nothing to me! Can
anyone please help me with this problem?

MSysTombstone is a table used in Replication; I assume that you
replicated this database at some point, and that the logic of
replication has changed between these versions.

I'd suggest creating a new, empty database in 2002 and using File...
Get External Data... Import to import all the tables. You may need to
follow the instructions at http://www.trigeminal.com to "unreplicate"
the database first, and then replicate it again in 2002.

From my experience, the conversion programs do not work
very well. I have a suggestion taht has worked on over
95% of what I'm converting. Simply to create a blank
database in 2K and then do an import of all items from the
95 version. The import function will do the conversion
for you with much fewer errors. Also, there has been a
lot of VB code changes so you might have to do
some 'tweeking' in your module code. I've always done
that on a hit/miss basis after conversion.

Hope this helps.
