Converting a file from Microsoft OfficeWord 2003 to Microsoft Word

A file I created for someone on my computer in Microsoft Office Word 2003
(.doc) is 'not true', (it's distorted) when that person saves it on her
computer on which she has Microsoft Word Pro. The only option for saving it
on her end is Word Pad. How can we convert the file in tact?

No such thing as Microsoft Word Pro. Are you sure your recipient doesn't
have LOTUS Wordpro?

Thanks Gordon. My aologies for calling it the wrong name. When I asked the
recipinet for what she had this is what came back:
Getting Started
Microsft Works Calendar
Microsft Works Database
Microsft Works Portfolios
Microsft Works Spreadsheet
Microsft Works Task Launcher
Microsft Works Word Processor
Windows Address Book
In addition she was not able to even open the file directly from the
e-mail. This is the message she got:
Works cannot open "C:\Documents and Settings\Linda\Local Settings\Temporary
Internet Files\Content.IE5\1738K8Y8\Shell_newsletter_filled[1]doc." The file
may be in use by another application, the file format may not be supported by
any of the installed converters, or teh file may be corrupt.OK

When she clicked on OK, she was taken to a blank Microsoft Works Word
Processor page.

Any ideas??

Save the documents as Works 6.0 & 7.0, then mail them. If this does not
work then your correspondent should go to the Microsoft Downloads page and
install Word Viewer 2003.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads

With Word Viewer she will at least be able to open and view the documents.
She might be able to copy and paste them into another application too. I
haven't tried this.
