COnverting Access 2000 database to MySQL

Hi,
Is there a way of generating sql statements that describe the tables,
and the data in those tables, in Access 2000? I thought I can use the
file containing these sql statements and create a similar MySQL
database. Or if there is an easier way of exporting the Access
database to MySQL, please let me know.

Access doesn't provide anyway of generating DDL, but there are 3rd party
tools that do. I believe DataCompareLib is one such tool

You can use Access2MySQL Pro (http://www.data-conversions.net/ ) by DMSoft
Technologies. You only need to define MS Access database as a source and
MySQL Text (dump file) as a destination. The program creates a dump file
that consists of MySQL statements to create all tables and to fill them
with the data. Using this dump file MySQL server administrator will add
data to your MySQL base. Just a snap!
