Converting Access 2002 to 97

I took someones Access 97 DB and converted it to 2002 so I could create them
a series of forms.

I then converted back and opened as 97 from my 2002 copy and after a number
of prompts telling me it was an old version and did I want to convert or
open, it opened it without any problems.

However, when I open it on their machine which has 97 on, one particular
form fails and kills Access.

The only things on this form which I think may cause a problem are a Tab
Control and a series of simple buttons (back, forward, print preview, print
etc. - most created with the wizards). I also have a drop down search box
(created with the wizard).

Are any of these things likely to cause this problem?

The first thing I'd do in this case is make sure that there are no
broken references. You'll have to do this on the PC where the problem
is manifesting. Open any code module (or the Immediate Window), then
click Tools -> References... on the menu bar. Look for any reference
marked as MISSING. If you find one, un-check it. If it was a reference
to a library from the wrong version of Access or Office, look in the
list for the corresponding reference for the correct version of Office,
and put a check mark next to it.

If you don't find any broken references, you may possibly have a form
that didn't get converted correctly. I've known this to happen with
reports. You could try down-converting the A2K2 DB again and see if it
works, or you could recreate the form from scratch, or you may be able
to use the undocumented Application.SaveAsText method to save the form
as a text file, then fix it up and reload it using
Application.LoadFromText.
