I'm trying to convert a databse from Access 97 to Access 2000 or 2002. Whenever I try to open it, it says I "don't have permission to convert or enable this databse".
Well, I've already joined the workgroup (on a shared disk). I can run it in Access 97 (no problem), and have set myself (sysadmin) as creator and owner, as well as set to administer permissions, modify design, etc. Nobody else is using it. But when I get to a Win2K or WinXP with Access 2002, it won't let me convert it. I didn't write tis database, but I'm at the top level, and should have the ability to edit code, but can't even get any code to show up.
If I do it the long way and recreate the database, I can import the data tables, aand queries, but all the forms, reports and macros are grayed out. How can I import forms, reports, and macros if I can't even open them in Access2K2?? If I were to open it in Access97, how would I export the code for the forms, reports and macros in a form that Access2K2 can understand?
Is it clear as mud???
Thank you very much!
