Converting Appleworks Documents from iMac to PC based Word XP

Does anyone have a suggestion of how to convert documents created in
Appleworks on the original iMac to Word XP running on a PC?

Any help would be appreciated.

MVP Graqham Mayor has some file converters available for d/l here:

(near the bottom of the page)

Whether the Works Converters go that far back for MacWorks I can't say. If
not you may be willing to invest in a commercial product such as:

http://www.dataviz.com/products/conversionsplus/index.html

I've always had success with their Mac versions, but check out the File
Types Supported link to verify before you buy. I think it goes as far back
as MacWorks 3 for full translation, v.2 as read only.

P.S. - I should have mentioned that if you intend to make the conversions on
a Mac, MacLink Plus Deluxe is available from DataViz. Conversion Plus runs
on the PC... But I'm sure you'd figure that from the site info.

I think you're right, but what we need to know is what version of AW created
the files, not what system it was running on at the time... I just assumed
the worst :)
