Converting Colors in Autocad Inserted Objects

I want to use Visio (Pro 2002) to 'redline' Autocad drawings. My original DWG files have a number of colors, and I want to convert them to black during the import so that my red/green markups show up clearly.

I am able to convert 90% of the drawing to black using the Cad Drawing Properties\layers tab; however, a lot of the text is not converted to black. Is this a bug in Visio? Is there any way around the problem?
