What is the best way to save a doc file as a text file so that all the characters will be read correctly in html?
I often am giving a .doc file with content to be put into an existing Web page. So I am always doing a Save As... to change the doc to a text version so I can easily input it into the html.
However, the way I'm saving the file as text (Text Encoding: Mac OS) the apostrophes and quote marks don't change from curly quotes to the readable "tick" marks for html.
So, how can I convert a doc file to a txt file so that these characters change to the straight quote versions? Thx.
