Using MS Office 93 and Win XP OS. Is there a program I can install that will convert Docx files I receive to Doc automatically without having to use online converters?
This is probably blasphemy on this site LOL, but download a copy of the free version of Kingsoft Office from kingsoftofficestore dot com (as a new form member I can't give actual links yet). It is a free office suite based on Office 2007 and you can open and save your documents in whichever Office file format you want.
Have you tried opening the docx in Google docs? If it opens there, you will have an option to save the document as a doc. format.
Give it a try, should work.
