Converting Enterprise Custom Fields to Enterprise Outline Codes

I created Enterprise Custom Fields and entered data in these fields (in a
lot of projects).
I should have made Enterprise Outline Codes instead (for using OLAP and
Group By pick list)
Do I have to create Enterprise Custom Outline Codes and re-enter all data or
is there a way to convert the fields and data?

I know of no default way to convert a custom field to a custom outline code.
The problem is that the outline code requires a code mask and a lookup
table. To speed things up a little in the manual process, you could always
copy the values in the custom field into an Excel spreadsheet and then copy
the list into the lookup table. Hope this helps.
