Converting Excel Spreadsheet to Access Table

Hi,

I'm using Access 2000 and I've imported my excel spreadsheet into a Table.
I'm going through my fields and renaming them and have tried to change the
format of my date fields as they just appear as numbers. When I change the
text to Date/Time and change the format to medium date Access threatens to
delete these records if I try and update the table - what am I doing wrong??

Mandi,

Not 100% clear what you've got, but try adding a new Date/Time field
to the table, and run an Update Query, to update the new field to...
CDate([YourTextDateField])
