How can I convert a file created in Word to 'pdf' format?

To create a PDF you will need software such as Adobe Acrobat.

There is a utility in this program that allows you to 'print' your
document as a PDF file. There are others but Adobe does give you a lot of
manulation of your PDF. Adobe, like Microsoft, seems to price there
software out of reach for most home users so if it's for home you gotta
really need it! As a commercial app it's solid.

There is also an online utility that will convert Word files to pdf if you
