Converting files from WORD for MS-DOS, in WORD 2003

Steve

Office (WORD) 2000 had the converter DOSWRD32.CNV to convert Word for MS-DOS versions 3-6. When Office 2003 is installed it asks if you want to delete all of Office 2000 but neglects to indicate that the capability of converting WORD for MS-DOS will be lost. This converter or an equivalent does not seem to be in th 2003 Converter Pack, AND, the converter packsfor 97-2000 have been retired because of a security problem. How can I convert WORD for MS-DOS or how can I find and install DOSWRD32.CNV so that Office 2003 recognizes and converts these files?

Steve:

If you still have your Office 2000 CD, you can install just the converters
you want from that package and because of the way Office works, 2003 should
find those converters when it launches the next time.
