converting from PDF

I have XP and Word 2007. I converted a PDF file to Word but cannopt
seem to edit it. When I try I seem to be on "picture tools" and cannot
switch out of that. How do I resolve this? Thanks

You'll need OCR software which can create an editable version of the
contents.
