I work in an architect firm which has been in a long time transition from
using Word Perfect to MS Word. All new documents are created in MS Word.
However, we are still accessing older documents for information and those are
usually in Word Perfect. We have, on several occasions, converted - or tried
to convert - these Word Perfect files to Word and all seems well until we go
back at a later date to access the newly converted files. Once these files
are converted, MS Word throws up an application error whenever we try to copy
and paste from a converted file into a new MS Word file. Word shuts down and
restarts itself but nothing is saved. These files seem corrupted at some
point during the conversion.
Is there anything to be done about that?
