bestname

When I try to open my MS word docs from my old computer on my new one, with
Vista MS Works, they don't open. Error message is cannot open, file may be
corrupt. I don't think my files are corrupt. HELP please.

Does Works have a converter to open Word documents? I think you should post
this in the Works Newsgroup as it is a Works rather than Word problem.

It is a source of serious irritation to me that it is virtually impossible
to find the Works newsgroup through the interface you are using (and even
worse from the Works home page). I have complained about this to MS several
times with no response. Try
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...2ac-c762-44c9-9c6f-90e45f32d772&lang=en&cr=us
or just
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.works.win
or
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...5ae-c07c-4ce8-aac1-e366715b1549&lang=en&cr=US
or
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.works.win

To find any MS newsgroup in an alphabetical list, go to
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx

To drill down by language (Works is listed under English | Home and
Entertainment), go to

Exactly one minute after bestname posted here that it couldn't find the
Works newsgroup, it posted this same question to the Works newsgroup.
