Converting handwriting to text

TAP

I'm brand new to One Note and Tablet PC. So, I've notice that "COnverting
handwriting to text" from the tool bar only converts the last line that was
written. Is there a way to have it convert more than one line of handwriting at
a time?

As Ben mentioned in his response, that command only applies to the
handwriting which has been selected.

As a new user, consider that you may not need to actively convert
everything you write. OneNote performs the conversion to text in the
background, and automatically indexes the converted text. What this means
is that you do not need to take any additional action on your handwritten
notes in order to search, index, or otherwise re-use the notes. OneNote
will also store a few alternate converted spellings if your handwriting
isn't completely clear. For what it's worth, I haven't explicitly
converted any of my handwritten notes for over a year.
