Converting Images Created on PP to Jpeg files

I'm trying to create a logo by using a combination of both Word Art, regular
text box and an inserted jpeg file. Once I have them all positioned, I
"select all" under the edit menu. Then I right click in side the selected
area and chose 'save as' jpg format as the website I want to use it on only
accepts certain formats. Once it is saved and I try to view the image on
other software, the back ground has turned from white/transparent to black or
light blue with a white box around the first jpeg inserted. I don't see
black or light blue anywhere as a background on PP. Why is it changing
backgrounds on me and how do I stop it? Thanks

When I opened the PNG file on the website, the background was light blue with
a white box around the jpg inserted and grouped with the text.

You cannot use a .png image for websites as it is not universally supported.
The process I would use:
- Make all images on PPT slide
- Group images
- Right click, choose 'save image'
- change a .png format
- Open the .png in ImageReady, or other image editing application.
- Add a layer below the image that is the website background color
- Save out image as a .jpg
- Add to website

Thanks, Troy...I will give that a try. I need to get better imaging
software. I will look for something online. I still don't understand why it
converts the backgound to black?? or light blue?? Anyone?

The JPG file format does not support transparency. Thus transparent parts of
the image are substituted with another color, usually black or white (I
don't know, where the blue comes from). Insert a rectangle of the background
color of your website behind the logo you created and group it with the
other elements. Then save as JPG, that should solve the problem.

Best regards,
Ute
