Converting Mac files to MS Windows/Office

Pl. Help,

my scuba instructor gave me a a cd full of files copied from a Mac
hard drive. He bought a Windows PC and needs to view them on the PC.
He said they were in Quark express and some graphic files of
underwater photos. As far as I can tell I see no file extensions. I
can access the files but the MS Publisher/Word pdf readers don't seem
to work. I am the computer guy and supposed to know these things. Web
searches for converters did not help much.
Thank You

Get hold of a PC program from JASC called "Quick View Plus". It's capable of
viewing files without extensions or with the wrong extension. It'll tell you
what type of file it is, which should enable you to rename them with the
correct extension - assuming you're going to burn them to another CD.

Of course, Sod's Law says that the one very important file your scuba
instructor wants, will be in a format the Quick View Plus can't read.

Correction: Just looked on www.download.com to see what the latest version
is, and found that Quick View Plus is now owned by Avantstar.
