Converting mdb from Access 2000 to 2003

For the first time, I installed an Access 2000/VBA app the other day on a
machine that only had Access 2003. I got to the point where I normally "Make
an MDE" of the mdb file, but that required converting the mdb to 2003 first.
My mdb/mde does not contain any tables, rather it links to a table mdb. My
question is: When I ran the convert from 2000 to 2003, did that affect the
linked tables at well (the table mdb), or did it just convert the mdb that
has the forms and reports in it?
