Had the same thing happen at our office 6 months ago. My
assistant and I (out of 120 employees) were only ones
with an Access database. We tried to convert access 97 to
2000 but it failed, Had to copy the format of each table
and then copy and paste the data to the new format. The
other thing that happened (because our tech didn't think
of us) was that the data base ended up being stored in a
different location on the network, thus the template docs
couldn't make the link. We re-established the database
link by naming it the same as it was before, but then
when we opened each doc. had to go to Tools Options,
General, and tick off the box to re-establish the link
and resave the template.
That was my experience. Solved the initial problem,
but..... believe me they continue!

merge documents (with form/data files on the network) are
having trouble when they pull up their docs. It's acting
as if it doesn't know where the data.doc is located for
that particular merge form. Any clues as to how to solve
that??? We are having to manually go out to user desks
and re-link those files. Everyone was on Office 2000
before.

We recently installed new pc's at our office which are
