Converting Metafile for Eternity

I tried many times to open very large (1MB Plus) spreadsheets, but I
get the "converting metafile" window forever.

Anyone else seen it? How can I make it work?

Hi Vance,

Is Excel getting stuck on one particular Metafile or do you see lots and
lots of metafile messages? Lots of messages is OK, but getting stuck is
not.
